INSTRUCTORS

Gary Eikenberry, 5^th Dan Black Belt, Chief Instructor

Building on previous training in karate and other martial arts Mr. Eikenberry's career in ITF Taekwon-Do covered more than seven years and medals in local, regional, national and international competitions. He earned his ITF International Instructor's Certificate in 1991, training with General Choi Hong Hi, President and Founder of the ITF.

He has taught self-defence and martial arts in the National Capital Region since 1989.

Mr. Eikenberry joined Grand Master Lim and his comprehensive new system under HupKwonDo International in 1993. Since that time, he has trained privately with Grand Master Lim in both HupKwonDo and Tai Chi and has earned his fitth degree black belt and International Instructor's Certification in HupKwonDo. He also currently serves as Webmaster and Information Officer for HupKwonDo International.

Mr. Eikenberry earns his living as owner and principal consultant of GEConsult.com, an independent Internet and Information Technology Consulting business, in operation since 1990.

Jesse Eikenberry, 3^rd Dan Black Belt, Instructor

Since starting with ITF Taekwon-Do at age 7, Jesse's martial arts career has paralleled his father's. He, too, has collected numerous medals during his Taekwon-Do career as well as more recently competing as a Hupkwondo black belt, including earning the distinction as 2005 Canadian-North American Champion, Mens's 3rd Dan Sparring. Jesse also trains privately with Grand Master Lim. He has served as assistant instructor and later, instructor since 1996.

Jesse is a graduate of the Creative Advertising program at Algonquin College and currently works at SportMart's Silver City location.

Francois Kupo, Assistant Instructor

Francois Kupo has been training with Gloucester Ottawa HupKwonDo since January 2004. He was appointed Assistant Instructor in September, 2006.
